A roommate in college had a parrot. It had a large cage on the floor next to the couch. It also had a special talent...it would deseed our weed. Lay it out on the coffee table and the parrot would dutifully eat all of the seeds! But it did get trashed, flying around the apartment and refusing to get back in its cage. We had to wait for night time, then turn off the lights. It would fly into an obstacle like a wall and we were able to catch it. I know that sounds like animal cruelty, but the parrot never suffered an injury and just spent the rest of the night enjoying the tunes we had on while sitting toasted in its cage.

Mine lived on a stand, not a cage. It was a good friend, always on my shoulder when I was at home.

December, 1965. I'm the one in the middle. Still the same height (5'10", brain injury, American football, Sept. 1964). My younger brothers finished over a head taller than me. I remember that those parrots were HEAVY!

One of our spoiled parrot. We are involved in parrot rescue in the Bay Area. They are amazing and incredibly intelligent beings. They do require a lot of attention, care, and enrichment to keep their very active brains engaged. They are social learners, as we are.

My wife and I spent about a week in Paris. A great trip, but it was our first time being away from Patti for more than a few hours since we got her a year ago. Fortunately, Patti loves my mother-in-law and gets along fine with MIL's grumpy 12-year-old chihuahua/min pin mix. We dropped her off at that house on the way to the airport. She had a good time, with plenty of room to play and chill out.
But she did look out the window multiple times per day for us. And when we got back Saturday night, she went pretty nuts. She's been very clingy since, too. She's a sweet girl.

6'4". I was one tall kid. When I returned from Army duty, my youngest brother put his chin down on the top of my head. Things had changed while I was gone. I've always wondered how tall I'd have finished, given that I was taller than either of them. 6'5" or 6'6" most likely.
Had golden I could rub his belly with my foot and he would kick a kick drum most consistently
