I always remove my dogs' harnesses when in the apartment. I put them on just before walks, and remove them in the elevator on the way up to the 3eme étage (4th floor). Trivia: most countries outside of the U.S. use '0' for the ground floor. '1' is the first floor above it. I'm embarrassed to say that I punched the '1' button WAY too many times out of habit before I got used to punching the '0'. :banghead:

When I started at my present company I took over telephone switching translations on a Nortel DMS phone switch for our office. I inherited that job since I was the only one that could grasp the Canadian numbering scheme where all drawers/cards/module counts start at "0" and not 1. Seemed pretty strange that a physical entity could be a zero.

We sometimes take Patti's harness off indoors--if it's hot and she's panting when she gets back, definitely. But she has thick scruff on the back of her long neck, so removal isn't always fun for her despite our best efforts. She has one harness with a side clasp from Wild Ones, which says it's going to use that design across all of its products going forward.
