I see you're a fan of Pits - guessing you've met and loved quite a few. I can imagine there are some fond memories of old buddies as well.
Funny story about the little dude (Lincoln). His older bro is a German Sheppie/Belgian Malinois mix. So we were looking to get another shepherd of some sort. We got both dogs from the same rescue and they had no paperwork on Lincoln when we got him at 8 weeks. Their best guess was a Dutch Shepherd/Lab mix. Only took a couple months of him growing to realize that he was definitely a Pit mix, and was not going to be the 70+ lb beast we had thought. He's topped out around 40 lbs and he's mostly pit, cattle dog, and lab - 0% shepherd. Wouldn't change a thing - he's a delightful little monster. Here's a photo of his big bro...

Loki, the old boy in my avatar, was my constant companion for 14 years, so I'm a little biased towards a brindle Pittie type thing.
He was a gracious host to all the fosters who came to us for some rehab before getting permanent homes.
There are two brindle boys in this thread now, Lincoln and a little buddy in Portugal who appears in this thread regularly.
Loki left me about 15-16 months ago, but I still think about him almost every day.
My wife rescued me with this little boy about six months ago, his name is Momo and he has become an awesome friend.
He was 49 pounds when we got him from a foster home, he has beefed up to 56 pounds now and has become my disc golf caddie.
He was a gracious host to all the fosters who came to us for some rehab before getting permanent homes.
There are two brindle boys in this thread now, Lincoln and a little buddy in Portugal who appears in this thread regularly.

Ah man - sorry to hear about Loki, but glad you have such fond memories of him. And Momo is super cute - looks like he's a happy dude.
Loki, lived a long charmed life after we sprung him from jail and he helped other dogs learn how to be chill and stable.
I wish dogs had human life span but maybe their shorter years is why they shine so bright.
Momo is excitable and very engaging when he is comfortable.
We (and our vet) think he is about two but he acts like he is a year old.
Momo will never be the stoic stable leader that Loki was.
Clearly he was mistreated by some ignorant male schmuck, so he has some fear triggers, but he's come a long way in the months we've had him.
Taking a dog home that needs help is not as easy but we can help him become more confident and stable, so it's good that he's here.
