Cheese and fresh croissants??? I'm totally jealous!!!My three had a super start to the weekend on our walk this morning. The owner of the fromagerie gave then a couple of big chunks of cheese each. And then the young lady at the boulangerie gave them a full size croissant instead of the usual mini croissant they get gifted every morning. Boy, were they wound up. All three inhaled their breakfast when we got home.![]()
My guys are SPOILED. They LOVE France. They just don't speak a word of French. A 2024 France Census taker knocked on my door yesterday, setting off a bunch of barking. They stopped as soon as we sat down at the dining room table and I started answering questions. But they kept walking around us. After a bit, I asked them in English if they wanted a treat. I got three big affirmatives. The census taker stopped and stared at them and asked me in French "your dogs speak English?" Cracked me up. I'd already told her that I was born in the U.S. and had moved to France just 2 1/2 years earlier.Cheese and fresh croissants??? I'm totally jealous!!!

And to tweak your jealousy a bit, I get one of these every morning, a "pain aux raisins" (bread with raisins).
