It's 35C (95F) outside right now, too warm for a furry fellow like Hamish, so we're taking our walks late at night and early in the morning. Here he is, out standing in his field:

As someone who has had the pleasure of sharing my home with bulldogs through the years, I can confirm they are stubborn, and will refuse to take "NO" for an answer.
I never had the pleasure of sharing a home with a bulldog, but I have shared homes with a Bull Terrier and a Bull Mastiff, and I think I detect a certain similarity in temperament. Bull-headedness, perhaps?
When we let Patti out of the crate in the morning, she's usually not in a big hurry to take a walk. So she often settles in with us on the bed for a while.
