Very cool! Back in '71, when I was attending the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, my g/f's best friend lived next door to the actor Cliff Robertson ono the 17 Mile Drive. She got me a resident's medallion to attach to the front grill of my car. Her father was the senior groundskeeper at Pebble. I got to play all three courses (Pebble, Spyglass, Cypress) for the cart fee (about $25). Now it costs hundreds of dollars to play Pebble, if you can even manage a tee time. Those 9 months in the Monterey Bay area were some of the best of my life. San Francisco for Dead shows on the weekends. Golf and tennis after classes during the week. Pretty sweet for Army duty!
Sorry to hear that. Hopefully the prognosis is good and Kona comes through it. Positive vibes sent!Last Thursday a hard bump was diagnosed as an Osteo Sarcoma. Moday Kona had his left rear leg amputated. 2 weeks to starting doggie chemo. Surgeon and Oncologist think he has a couple of good years left in him. Points in his favor, he's strong, active, not over weight and he's essentially been a trike for a couple of months. He wouldn't put much weight on that leg. 4 vet visits to try and figure it out since April... Another point in his favor is that the sarcoma is currently not affecting his lymph nodes and lungs. That is usually where this particular cancer goes. So we are hopeful. Kinda freaked out. Definately bummed out. Hoping that we are taking the right course of action for him.
Kona and my wife are a canine scent work team. He made Elite a month or so ago.View attachment 6982891View attachment 6982892
