That lab River had a interesting life. My roomate was a bartender and Jack Daniels model and she talked me into getting a lab. I grew up with labs and new that was the worst idea for an apartment! Well she got him and training him good for about 4 weeks, then she seemed to get busy. Not having much of an outlet he proceeded to dismantle our apartment! Poor dude. I would take him to dog parks whenever I could and friends would come take him jogging. He was a fantastic ball retriever and swimmer! daily i would take him to fetch for awhile. Well, one of the girls that took him jogging asked to take him to Seattle with her. She loved ol River so we agreed. She ended up marrying a billionaire so old River dog spent his remaining years in a big house by the beach.

RIP lil' guy. Sorry for your loss, MM.My son when he was a baby. He died almost a month ago and I miss him terribly.

I think it was Mark Twain who once said one of the few injustices of mother nature is that dogs don't live as long as their masters. Sorry for your lost.My son when he was a baby. He died almost a month ago and I miss him terribly.
