Ahhh! My dream bass in my younger years. Mike Inez played a white Spector as well. Just such a beautiful RAWK (spoken with the utmost respect) bass that oozes \m/! Very nice!

Thank you sir! Yes, this was my dream bass as well and I finally have one! Well, it's not an NS-2 model exactly, but it's pretty darn close (and good enough for rockin' the couch which is all I do these days). I was (and still am) a big AIC and Mike Starr fan. Plus, Sting rocked a white NS-2 on the Synchronicity tour. BUT he installed homemade mutes on the bass! Not sure why, but hey he's Sting - he doesn't need to explain his actions from 30+ years ago to me.
Some nice basses here! Guess this thread is the answer to the age old question "HEY! Where all the whites basses at?"

This was my first bass ever (got it second hand in 1987)- it was my only bass for a long time. Time to upgrade the pickups, tweak the action, and give it some time out of the closet again!
A friend of mine had one of those for his first bass as well back in the day. His was black. Ordered right out of the Sears Christmas catalog!
