I’ve got one of those! Well, a new Travis Bean Designs one anyway. I paid a bit less than that though, lol. My understanding is that there were 2 short scale TB2000s made in the 70s, both made for Bill. Kevin at EGC/TBD told me there are 4 of the new ones. Love this thing, it’s heavy but ergonomically it’s the best feeling bass I’ve ever picked up.

I can't join this party, unfortunately... but I just gotta ask: should those white basses with huge dark colored pickguards count?

I mean, my eye always goes to the pickguard, especially if it's black or tortoise shell and I just don't see these as "white basses".

There’s definitely been a few that have caught my interest though.

Hey, nice. I've never seen an Ibanez WHITE Eagle before.

I've gotta RI Black Eagle which is a beauty. . But not white.

Personally I don't think I currently have anything white except a Mellotron M400 which is kind of off color these days.

Chris' RM1999 is a cream color, not white.

I made this photo when I saw The Syn in 2006.

My first real bass was a cheap white Epiphone in the 90s. This is my Ray. When I was looking for one, white seemed appropriate for the rather plasticky sound of the bass. Very 80s, very Don Johnson boat shoes.

I’ve just now named him Whitey Ford…
