When you think of the thought put into the fEarful and BFM designs compared to Schroeder it make you wonder....

I initially gigged with a Schroeder 21012 and then splurged later for a 410L. Set lists typically included Hendrix, Stones, Cream, etc...lots of "classic" stuff with a big bottom end. Gear was an a modded Geddy through Ampeg SVPCL. I found it had a LOT of bottom end, and didnt have problems in lower registers. I will say I began using an Aphex 204 about that time and it certainly factored into the sound. I found the 410 very capable, although I liked the 21012 just a bit more. Between the two, they were capable of being shockingly loud with very little power.

More importantly, I found both times I did business with Jorg were the example of how business ought to be done.

Although opinions may differ on this point... so do people's basis for comparison.... many people will say that Ampeg cabinets sound "flat" and "even".... merely because they've only ever heard Ampeg, GK and Peavey cabs....

The previous statement is true to some degree or another regarding all Schroeder cabinets. Shy on true lows, HUUUUUGE midrange hump..... average highs. I've owned Schroeder, Bergantino, Epifani, GK, Ampeg, EBS, Basson, Hartke, Aguilar, Acme and many many more. If you're looking for a loud, accurate and light cabinet.... try the Genz Benz UB410. Willing to spend a little more? The Bergantino NV610 or NV412 are the nastiest cabinets in bassdom.... and you'll find that most people who disagree with that statement.... have never actually played the NV series.

Well, my 1212R does have padding and cuts through the mix (especially in a loud rock situation) veeeeeery well. Loud Guitarists with big rigs respect the little brute immediately!

Haven't heard any of the lighter versions with the new neo drivers (Italian made B&C & Celestion) and super bullet tweeter, but can vouch mine. I just wonder how it compares overall to a fearful cab?
