Double Bass Shure KSM 27 SL for studio recording DB?

I'm looking for a large diaphram condenser mic for studio purposes ONLY for mostly pizz and some arco for DB.
I'd like to spend around $400 and am thinking about the Shure KSM27 SL.
Opinions please. ;-)
The M Audio Solaris has been offered as a comparable mic. It sounds great but I've heard it has weak construction.
Feedback appreciated. :-)
