Shuttle 3.0 vs 700rbII

I did some searching on the topic and found a few threads but wanted some new opinions. I can get them both used for around $290 + shipping. I usually use two simple tones, a deep low bass tone or I'll turn down the lows a bit for a punchy mid sound, but not grindy. Right now I'm playing an SR300 with dead rounds (which I currently love the tone of) through a Peavey max 115. I'm looking to get a new amp because its just to heavy at 60lbs and I don't feel like lugging it.

So suggestions?

O and I forgot to mention I will be gigging they'll be smaller venues usually but any larger venues will have a PA

I have a Shuttle 3, the feature set is really good.

I often use it without a cabinet as a D.I when using IEM and going direct into the P.A

Really small and light but can drive a 2 x 10 or 2 x 12 no problems.

Better with a 4 ohm cab to make the best use of the amp stage IMHO.

Having owned both -- the 700RB will be way louder than the shuttle 3. I would grab it up for the same price if your band is any hint of loud.

+1. I did'nt own the shuttle 3, but did own the shuttle 6. I would still go with the RB 700 II. It is my backup amp, but is capable of getting all kinds of tones, and it does seem to have more " girth " than the GB. A little heavy though compared to the shuttle, but, more versatile, imho.
