Shuttle Combo Saddle?

Thought I saw it on Rocketmusic.net. Not there now but you could give Greg a call.

I've also called Genz themselves to get rack ears for my first Neo-Pak. So that would be another option.

There was a thread on this some time ago as I was researching this very question yesterday for my 6.0 non-MAX. The OP contacted Jeff at GB and offered to sell the 6.0 non-MAX saddle separately but the price was not listed in the thread. The saddle for the 12.0 MAX was selling for $97 on some online store I saw last night but the saddle for the 6.0 non-MAX was not listed. I've decided to go a cheaper approach and purchase 2 wooden door metal hinges (or any similar type hinge..they come very plain or very fancy) of the correct size and paint them black. One side of each hinge will be secured into the top of my GB Neox 212 cabinet and the other side into the GB 6.0. GB told me to use 5/8" coarse screws for use into the cabinet so that they will not go completely through the 3/4" plywood. I purchased two saddle mounting thumb screws from GB for $14 shipped and will likely have to drill a hole through the hinge to line up with the mounting hole in the sides of the amp. Lining up the hole to drill in the amp side of the hinge is easy as all I have to do is remove the top cover of the amp and then mark the hinge from the inside of the amp through the mounting hole with a pencil or something. Using hinges will allow me fit a custom cover on the amp as the hinges will lay flat when detached from the head.

If you have a local metal shop, it would be pretty easy for someone to fab up the appropriate bent metal to replicate a dock. If you go that route, make sure to provide the needed vent spaces on the side.

Otherwise, it would indeed be pretty easy to buy some stout 2" wide metal strap, bend it and drill it to suit, and go to ACE Hardware for a couple of appropriate bolts with knob heads to make installation and removal easy. The only thing left would be to figure out how you want to fab a carry strap.

I agree the factory dock is very nice...but it wouldn't be hard to create a substitute...I also suspect that if you modify the thread title to read "Genz-Benz Shuttle Combo Saddle" to get the G-B guys' attention, they might comment about availability.

There are some cabinets (material types, styles, weights) that it won't work well with and we want to be sure you don't end up disappointed and with holes in what was your otherwise nice cabinet.

Specifically, if you have a particle board cabinet, we suggest that you use T-Nuts. If the cabinet is large or heavy then you will not want to use the attached handle to carry it by. If the material is a thin fiberlite then we will dissuade adding a saddle because fiberlite is too brittle and if the cabinet is handled roughly with the saddle attached there is risk of cracking the fiberlite.
