Is that actually what the VM Precision is based off of, or are we just joking about that?
I'm not joking. I am an old-school Ramones and Pistols fan. I don't think there's anything that Squier put out stating it. It's kinda like the jazz that many call the Jaco jazz. Who knows for sure?

some guy in Arkansas had a bass on ebay about 3-4 weeks ago that he claimed was rescued from the old Chelsea Hotel and had been syd's original bass. He had nothing to back it up and just sort of threw it in the auction as a conversation point.
Recalling the bloody nose made famous by that photo (Randy's Rodeo in Dallas?) made me wonder if CSI could prove it was his by dna under the pukeguard, I mean pickguard.

I read an interview with Steve Jones in which he says he lifted the Twin Reverb he used on Never mind... from Bob Marley.
Fender Japan has a '70s model that looks just like it (I've seen it on Ishibashi). I've seen it come up once or twice on Ebay as the "Sid Vicious" bass. As mentioned above, though, Dee Dee and Simonon--as well as Pete Farndon on the early Pretenders stuff--played the same model.I'm not joking. I am an old-school Ramones and Pistols fan.
