signal path help!!

i'm putting together a board with the following pieces, and not sure what to put where in the chain.

morley volume
line 6 DL4
Pigtronix EP1
Boss OC3
Ibanez SB7
punch factory

I know that I want the DL4 to be able to loop the octave, envelope, and synth. I also want to be able to put the volume before the DL4. besides that, whats the best way to set these up?

Are you using the Punch Factory's DI?

good question. I might, would be good to be able to if neccesary. I would like to add a sadowsky pre to the chain somewhere in the future and I would use that DI. Either that or get a radial DI down the road.

Guh? Ok, assuming your'e using the punch factory's DI, it has to be last. So go:

OC3-->SB7-->EP1-->volume-->DL4-->PF

sweet thanks! One more question.... What if I wanted to add a sadowsky preamp DI? After (or instead of) the punch factory I guess?

If you're happy with the punch factory's di you might want to put the sadowski first so your whole chain can benefit from it. Like having an active bass. Ten again it wouldn't surprise me if the sadowski's di was better then the punch factory's.

Thats what I was thinking too. I haven't used the punch factory's DI, but I'm not sure its something I would really want to use as the best thing to send to house.

The potential issue I see putting the sadowsky first is that when you toggle the circuit on/off you dramatically vhange the amount of gain going through the envelope filter and the synth which would change the response from those pedals. Might still be OK. If I'm using an efx looper, I could put the Sad just after that so that its getting the pre either way, separate from the efx loop.
