Double Bass Silver Creek EUB

[DTP1960]

I HAVE A SILVER CREEK THIN BODY 3/4 SCALE DOUBLE BASS.
IT'S THE EXACT SAME AS A STANDARD 3/4 UPRIGHT EXCEPT THAT THE DEPTH OF THE BODY FROM FRONT TO BACK IS ONLY ABOUT 4 INCHES DEEP.

PBOBLEM: BECAUSE OF THE THIN BODY, IT DOESN'T SIT CORRECTLY AGAINST ME WHEN I PLAY.
IS THERE AN ATTATCHMENT I CAN GET TO GIVE THE UPPER BODY SOME DEPTH SO THAT IT RESTS COMFORTABLY AGAIST ME JUST AS A STANDARD DEPTH BASS DOES?

SIMILAR TO THE WINGS OR ATTATCHMENTS THAT ARE PUT ON THE STICK BASSES?

And a few years down the line I'm regretting that I didn't get one. The DB I have in my house is difficult to maneuver, I have a really small place and it's kinda tucked into a corner. the thinner lighter one would have been easier and it would have more than likely fit in my Hundai - which this one won't.

I would almost guarantee I'd have played the Silver Creek lots more. I also get offers for simple DB gigs that I'd be able to handle, but have to turn down cuz I can't lug around the one that's in my house. The bass in my house has got other issues too, but it's too complicated to get into.

If you want the Silver Creek - I say get it. If you hate it after 2 months you can sell it to me for a few hundred dollars less. Just take good care of it.

I bet the "belly rest" attachment on BSX and other basses could be mounted on the back of your Silver Creek as well. You'd either have to screw it into the back wood of your bass, with however many mounting screws; or screw it onto a sheet of plywood or stiff plastic (maybe 8"x8"?) and use heavy-duty Velcro to attach that sheet to the back of your bass. Talk to Dino at BSX, or other EUB makers, and see what they say about selling and installing the belly rest.

I have an Eminance bass. It has a bar with 2 rubber feed on the bottom of the end pin. These feet make it extremely stable and don't alow it to twist. You can lean it against you and it won't move. The bar is mounted to the end pin with a pin so it will alow the bass to move with you. You might consider this also.
