Double Bass Silver Creek on the way

I pulled the trigger on one of those Silver Creek EUBs from MF. I've been really curious about them for some time, so for the $999 (shipped) price, I thought it was time.

I played what I can only assume was a similar Knilling years ago at Mars (thinline, eub), and aside from the atrocious setup, I really liked the way it looked and sounded. I'm no purist by any means, so I like to think I kind of know what I'm getting.

According to MF it shipped on the 11th, but I haven't gotten a tracking number yet.

I've seen very little in the way of a thorough review - other than they're european, and not too bad if you're not looking for a true DB.

Anyone ever play one? Hear one? Know someone who knew someone who used to live with a guy who worked with someone who owned one? :p

I have had one for a year now and love it for little clubs and tight spots. It has all the volume od a full size bass but not the robust boom of one. I can't really find anything to complain about. I comes just like any other factory set up bass. Needs the bridge lowered and the nut slots deeper. I think you will be very happy with this bass. The only thing that was a little hard to get use to was it's narrowness. But it won't take long to adjust. Good choice-Doug
