Silver flake G&L JB ?

I have an opportunity to buy a G&L JB in silver flake. I love it, but as I've never had such a garish bass I'm wondering if I'll regret the purchase later.

I'm curious what you guys think of flake basses, if I want to resell will it be an issue? Will it clash with the guitarist's ego?

Seriously, my usual go-to is gloss black, but I'm bored with that. Would you go silver flake or something more mundane? Why?

Thanks.

Go for it man, I bought this one in 2021 and love it.

Know regerts!

Many of this basses look like metallic rather than flake.

If you are already thinking about getting rid of it (resale value), then don't buy it. I buy mine to keep. However, I have parted with a few of them over the years because I didn't desire that particular model any longer. But, if you want it, get it. If you are worried about resale value, skip it.
The only reason I'm thinking about resale is that my tastes change, and rather than leave a bass sitting in my closet I'd rather move it along. Right now I have zero plans to move it. And, the last g&l jb I had I didn't play and sold, and I wish I still had it.
