I must be dense. Where do I connect the pickups? I'm guessing "Hots" to either side of balance, and "Grounds" to the EQ common ground?

Hot leads to two center terminals of balance pots. Then two cross-wired connections on balance pot, upper left to lower right, and vice versa. One set is ground and one set hot to Volume pot or preamp input, depending on Volume pot location in circuit.

On my phone and cannot link a diagram, sorry. Google is your friend unless someone else jumps in.
