Simple Question: should I buy a Gibson Thunderbird?

I played it, Liked the way it played.
I'm used to Jazzes and P's
I'm only 5'8'' 155lbs, not that its heavy at all, its actually really light. but that thing is a big as me and it'd probably look a little goofy. last person I saw play one was 6'5''.
I can get an incredible deal on it.

anyone like these? dispise these?
thoughts?

Have you tried playing it with a strap? They do tend to neck-dive a bit. Not sure if that would bother you or not though.

yeah i did play it at a rehearsal. it actually seemed to be fairly balanced unlike its epiphone counterpart. sorta the same thing with SG's Gibsons balance fairly well, Epi's dive.

I play the Epiphone version of the T-bird & I don't look goofy at all. At least no one has told me that I look goofy?!?!?

My BC Rich Warlock is actually longer than my T'Bird. I would love have a true Gibson but the pocket book doesn't support the payment, lol.

they actually came down in price. They have them on MF for about $1500.

I'd say, honestly, if it adds something you feel you "need", then buy it. But, regardless of how good a deal it is, if you don't need it, don't buy it.

(Don't ask me about that Hoppus I just bought and put back together though)
