"Simple" things that give you a technique headache.

Im going to sound like a fool, but ghost notes. Using them in bass lines (Baby Love) always trips me up.

Using the transposition from Standing in the Shadows, in case anyone was curious.

Stacato as well will sometimes mess me up. Just needs to sound clearer, and it always trips me up.

Love playing Bass! So much stuff to learn and incorporate!!

I can't get rid of the hammer on slapping sound when I fret a note on the string above, especially with the ring finger. I need to mute the string behind the fret to reduce string travel.
I suppose I have a bad case of floating fingers I never corrected.

NOT physically tensing up when the music intensifies is a perennial issue.
It's a mental awareness thing

This. So much this.

I've oddly stumbled on something recently in this department. I always have assumed it's my left hand driving the tensions bus (and fully understand how hard it is to change things on only one side). But I recently *lowered* my bass on the strap and my right hand has far less tension, so my left hand came along for the ride. I feel like it was counterintuitive, but I've definitely had positive results!
