Singlecut semi-hollow body

While this bass sounds like it looks: acoustic and deep, it is a one trick pony. I was initially ok with that, as it was what I was aiming for. After playing the bass in my profile picture (which has an EMG preamp in it) for a bit I decided that I wanted more sonic options.

I found a Nordstrand preamp cheap here in the classifieds so I put it in. It gives me a lot more options, with real bass and treble adjustments. I need to make another knob and figure out how to hold the batteries, but I like the possibilities much better in a few minutes of playing it with the preamp installed.

Unlike just about every other bass I've made the control cavity is huge in this one, so I was able to get everything in there without any surgery beyond drilling a hole for one extra pot.

I'll try to get some new audio files up.
