Singlecut... Why?

for the slight amount of difference of sound it may or may not make to have a single cut, do you really think any of you can actually hear it?

if you are one to judge the sound of a bass when played on its own you have a lot to learn, its like people who complain about a bass cab not being boomy enough when played at your local guitar center...

if the bass feels good to you, and you like the look.... get it, if its single cut or not... the tone of a bass is not going to matter all that much once you have a band playing behind you or if you plug into an amp or put your lovely neighborhood sound man in control of it.

when ever I test out a bass to buy, I sit in a quiet room and put my ear up to it... I go by that sound, anything else can be worked with electronics... i stay away from muddy dark sounding insturments and get bright pronounced ones, id rather take away bright then add brightness to it... always best to roll off then add...
