Sire M7 strapping issue

Hi All,

Can i ask do any of u all experience the same problem as i have with the Sire M7? I love the versatility and the tone of the bass but i find that the first few frets are very far away from myself no matter how i strap the bass. Playing a long time makes my shoulder slightly tired due to the stretch of my fretting hand to fret the lower notes. Is there like a strap i can use to pull the neck closer to me or like any suggestion or people who have such problems too?

Thank you very much for your help!

I think Dingwall mounts a third strap pin on the back of the bass as an alternative to the pin on the end of the body. (That is actually a very poor description of a very elegant solution that Sheldon Dingwall implemented.) I believe the purpose here is to shift the whole bass to the right so that the effective "reach" to the first fret is reduced.
