Sire U5 flats..

I do. I like them as I’ve been a fan of Labella's for years. If you own a Hofner it’s almost standard issue.
I bought the Sire last spring and wanted to try stringing through the body. Many say it makes no difference but I’ll take whatever sustain I can generate.
The Mustangs fit perfectly and would be easy to recommend, setup-wise. Tone is another thing though. They’re dark, even sitting on the hard maple neck. For the oldies they are really nice, but for more modern stuff, IMO, I don’t think they cut as well as say Chrome strings.
I’m thinking about swapping out when it’s time swap out (these also last forever so it may be a while), just to try a different sound. It won’t surprise me if I go back to them though. They’re also the smoothest flat I’ve ever played, Chromes included. No noise and play like butter.
