I see. These would probably suit my Ibanez very well. Labella RX is very similar to what you described with deep punchy growl. This bass it's already got that but I'm looking for more grab and bite to compliment the deep punchy tone it's got already. It's interesting in the stainless steel world how certain strings just bite so hard like pro steel, Rotosound, Dean Markley Blue Steel which is somewhere further towards deep but still articulate much like DR Fat beams. Also Dunlop standard series stainless steels in that category. Then deeper sounding like Labella RX, SIT Power Steels, DR Low Riders, Warwick Black Label, and others I'm less familiar with. Maybe we should create a sticky thread just on stainless steels and graph out the tonal characteristics and give them all a sort of rating system. It's so much to keep track of.
