Double Bass "Sitdown EUB"?

Looks like it's a low-volume custom made instrument, so the only alternative you have is to get your hands on it and try it out. It doesn't seem to be a brand about which there is widespread armchair or firsthand knowledge. It reminds me a bit of Eberhardt Weber's sit down electric upright bass in terms of its sit-down feature. Never seemed to catch on though. Funny how the player in the video is standing up with it!
I really like how they look. Plus, 1,200 for a removable neck, acoustic bodied EUB is a good deal I think. I didn’t get much of a sense of how it would work for me from that video.
It looks like you would hve to play it vertically, as the scale is more or less a 3/4 DB scale length.
Of course, you can plan any upright bass, whether 3/4, Eminence style, Czech-Ease style, or what have you, sitting down on a stool with the strings running vertically.
If you want to sit down and have the strings running horizontally, I think a 41.5" scale would be very difficult to play. Instead I would use a Fender Precision, either fretted or fretless, with flatwound strings, a piece of foam rubber shoved under the strings near the bridge, and appropriate equalization.
...Not that I am an expert or anything, it's just that these are the things that occur to me.
