Site upgrade

I usually hate change, but this actually looks better.

I liked the preview instead of just the title but that seems gone now, either way is fine. I just read a few forums, bugs and functionality problems are just part of the game now. I don't see any but it appears there are some problems which is unfortunate. Can you tell I work in software development and support?

Agree, this new platform sux rox. If I had any skin in the game I'd be aggravated about having it buggered up. As is... meh, whatever... I can still find the three or four threads I care about, plow through the ads, read posts from the dozen or so TB'rs left here I care what they post, and move on.

This is literally horrendous… is this the way everyone's forum looked while I was using the classic TB layout? I can't find anything

One thing that helps is to go to the style chooser and make sue you choose the same style you were using before. When I first logged in after the update I couldn't find anything either. After going through the style chooser and toggling through the various styles because I couldn't remember which one I had been using, I finally found it, and once I clicked on it the site looked a lot like it did before, only with a better layout. Profile, alerts, and inbox were all back in the same place.

Embarrassingly, I had been using "Retro 2008"🤖, but whatever… now that I'm back on that setting, the site works for me again.

Interesting. I found 'style chooser' on my profile page. How does one see and choose from more styles than these? This is all i see:

Chris, I'm curious where you're seeing other styles. All I'm seeing is the light or dark TalkBass 2024.

Can we see a screenshot? I only see the same two on my iPhone as I see on the desktop. So maybe there ARE other styles available but they're just not showing up?

You could, but now they have disappeared from my iPad as well, although it is still displaying in that style (so i don't want to change it!). I think I will wait until things settle down a bit before asking Paul about it. He's got enough on his plate right now!

However, one of my biggest frustrations about the new layout was answered in this thread, about resetting what you see in "New Posts": https://www.talkbass.com/threads/fo...ts-by-forums-subforums.1656167/#post-28555309

Funny, my bookmark for this site is my watched threads. So not much has changed for me in that respect. I do wish there were this blank line between the quite and the post, like I manually did. Makes it more readable in my opinion. Too condensed within the posts, but not condensed enough outside them.
