Sketchy looking website selling absurdly cheap Tech 21 pedals. ***?!

The prices are fake, the photos are fake, the address is fake, the website is fake... but yeah the phone number should work.
Buy only if you use PayPal , at least you will get your money back if things go wrong . 
I would run into these sites when shopping for some random items. It would be a site that has nothing but mens fashion accessories... and a Warwick bass, for some reason, far below retail pricing.
Yeah, too weird for me to give it a shot...
HOWEVER: many years back, there was a site called "EBAGS" and they sold purses and backpacks and all kinds of stuff like that. But they also had Protec Contego bass bags. They were CHEAP and there was even a coupon code that made them cheaper.
I think I bought 4 of them for stupid-low prices and it was real.
But that is the exception to the rule.
Point is, do as much investigation as you can, before sending money or sensitive info to anyone.

I don’t have a pre-paid card. I don’t know if I should trust these people with my main credit or debit card #
I also think it's scam and I'm not going there to buy anything.
On a side note, Visa and Mastercard credit cards offer single use card numbers, and don't forget you have zero liability for fraudulent charges . The single use card numbers are fantastic for online purchases from unknown vendors.
Debit card protections are up to the bank or credit union who issued the card.

I bought a number of travel bags (Osprey, Mountainsmith, etc) several years ago from EBags for traveling around Europe and Mexico for the cheapest prices I could find anywhere. They were like the ProAudioStar of bags- presumably just doing the drop-ship thing like PAS does as well. Never thought to look for guitar bags on there though!!
There are lots of these fake sites that pop up when searching Google Shopping for all kinds of different stuff, and as mentioned by someone here they pop up on Facebook all the time too (ironic considering how quick Facebook will censor or hide news that doesn't fit their agenda on both FB and IG). Fortunately most of these websites put minimal effort into trying to look legit- using low-res copies of other pictures and dead-end links when you try to dig into the website. Anytime you see something priced that far below typical pricing it is going to be a scam 9 times out of 10. If they were smarter they would price stuff just 10% under competitors and probably slip under some people's suspicions- then again, they probably don't have to try too hard to successfully scam enough people to make it worth the minimal investment they make. Heck I was scammed for an $18 concert ticket on Facebook before, so I'm hardly immune
Ebags was always legit.
20-ish years ago there were bunches of stores like that: Not quite common knowledge but popular enough to be successful stocking a lot of good-quality specialty merchandise. At least one serving every vocation and hobby. Sierra Trading Outlet, for example, was great for various sports and casual clothing, there was a time when nearly all my bike clothing were bought there. These days most of them have been bought up by larger companies. Ebags is owned by Samsonite now, and Sierra Trading is owned by whatever company owns TJ Maxx and other retail chains.

But you still give up your address, name and contact info! That is worth a lot, and the site may be dropping logging software to gather additional data from your computer / device.I also think it's scam and I'm not going there to buy anything.

I ship to my office and use a VPN. And... I'm up to date on security software.
I get that 20 years ago, but there are plenty of easy ways to shield that today, and some of it is really "who cares".

In the internet age anyone can sell practically anything they please, you just have to have the right connections. I worked for one of those places a few years ago and it was just as legit as it was a scam. They had no virtually no inventory but had access to place orders with nearly every line in the musical and pro-audio sphere, they had a niche because we could design sound system solutions for office, school or stadium within a budget when that was not as readily available. The service was bunk to say the least and they did nothing to install or support after the sale, there were all too often issues with delivery and having customers pay shipping when so many offered "free" shipping.
At first it was a fun challenge and money maker but it became a real drag because of my long experience and knowledge in the biz I got stuck too often with customers looking for discontinued or very difficult items often for many years and my "failure as a salesman" couldn't entice the customer with other available options.
The breaking point was I had the opportunity so service and sell an exclusive & premium line in the South and Southwest but they balked. Dumb.
At first it was a fun challenge and money maker but it became a real drag because of my long experience and knowledge in the biz I got stuck too often with customers looking for discontinued or very difficult items often for many years and my "failure as a salesman" couldn't entice the customer with other available options.

Agree! That’s you and me, but many others? Not so much.
If everyone was savvy and protected they would not have anyone to “scam “ now would they?
