I don't have one, but he says it's for bass too. It's not expensive, so maybe somebody here will be interested. The demo vids are not that helpful IMO--the proguitarshop one just focuses on clean boost and full-on drive playing with chords, and never once touches the sort of light-drive single-note playing many bassists would use. And the one with the Korg box is just embarrassingly horrible. I would seriously be ashamed to demo any product of mine that badly. But in spite of all that, I still think there might be a cool bass overdrive in this box... maybe...

Hi Bongomania

thanks for the feedback

keep an eye out for some new videos soon

if you find yourself at centaur guitar, trade-up music pdx or briz in vancouver they all carry the truck loud.
go check it out

the truck loud is voiced for a linear frequency response
it is flat up until 10k where it begins to gently roll off
it works nicely with guitar and bass

the truck loud can even run can run on up to 15 volts dc for bigger headroom

who doesn't love good headroom?
and this headroom can get dirty or stay clean
its good to have options

the overdrive reacts very dynamically to playing
soft notes even at full gain are clean
when the strings are hit harder the drive kicks in

setting the level control at 2 oclock and gain at minimum is unity gain from there you can boost the master level or crank the gain or both you will get full dynamic range

the truck loud is tonal minimalism
while still taking charge of the audio signal
it has a sound
like a sheet of glass
thick bullet proof glass without tint

the dark mode is a germanium limiting circuit that kicks in harder and harder as the gain is increased (like warm tape)
it reacts to frequencies starting around 1k and up past 10k
the curve of the high limiting from the germanium is a nice gentle flat line. It darkens the tone without compromising the definition.
