Small Bodied Basses

My main bass I'm playing right now is a Fender Jazz. I didn't realize how large the body was until I compared it to my Carvin LB75. The Fender looks massive compared to the Carvin.

I absolutely love the size of my Lakland Darryl Jones (DJ5) body. Smaller and more comfortable than traditional jazz bodies.

Im pretty curious about the MM Sterling. Ive only played Stingrays, so id love to play a smaller version of it.

I've always wished Jazz basses were smaller. I love the shape, but that body is huge. Even a P bass looks big on me, and I'm not a small gal. I agree about Spectors, they're the perfect size.

That's why I really like Nino's Dinky Jazz basses.

Im pretty curious about the MM Sterling. Ive only played Stingrays, so id love to play a smaller version of it.

The Sterling size is great, it will feel very heavy compared to an Ibanez SR series. I play a Sterling as primary, we played first on a split bill - two sets. At the end of the night we combined the two bands for a few songs, I played the other guys Ibanez (it's been a couple years since playing one) and the only thing I could think about when playing was how pleasantly light the Ibanez is.
