Anybody else perfer smaller bodied basses? I'm not a big guy so my Spector fit me perfectly, I've been told I look like a little kid on stage playing my Fender Jazz V.

Small Bodied Basses

Warwick Thumbs are pretty small and amazing basses. I really like the size. Id much rather have a smaller bass than a beast bass.
I'm not a smaller guy or anything but my fender Jazz V definately is a beast. That thing weighs a ton. I love it though 
I am not a big person myself but my first bass was friggin huge...my T40 was [and 'new' one is] friggin HUGE...my EB0 was teeny...my VMJ is HUGE...my Cowpoke, Dyna and Foundations are slender and you know, I actually like that a lot. ^_^ The necks on my smaller ones seem the same size but the bodies are not as heavy or thick or chunky. Feels nice but a basses size in regards to how large it is wouldn't stop me from liking it or playing it. *shrug* Sadly though if one is too small it does annoy me.
I've always wished Jazz basses were smaller. I love the shape, but that body is huge. Even a P bass looks big on me, and I'm not a small gal. I agree about Spectors, they're the perfect size.
im not for small basses, but jazz basses are so big and heavy. Id rather be more mobile and have some shoulder endurance with a lighter load
I like small bodied basses too. Really digging my Spector Rebop's weight, but it doesn't "feel" as small as you'd expect between the scale, horn length and rear strap lock position.

Fender's MIA Jazz Bass Deluxe basses offer downsized bodies that are really comfortable - also available in a 5-string version.

What type is that? Looks like my Cowpoke but the pups (and that lever) are different.... well and string count..duhh. I know my Cowpoke feels so perfect when I hold it. The body size and the neck size together is perfect! Same with my Dyna and my Foundations but I like my big ones too ^_^
And I really had no idea that Jazzes were that large. I thought it was something with just the Squier VMJ but I have recently found out that it is the Deluxe Jazz I keep playing is the odd one as far as size. I don't know why but I always figured the Jazzes were small like the Deluxe is and not normally large like the VMJ.....
Small to medium size preference here. Love the sound of Stingrays but they're freakin' huge (and I'm 5'10" 170) P-bass is too big on me - blah - I'm playing a Sterling now and it's the upper limits of what I'm comfortable for size. Have a lesser played Schecter Stiletto and while it's comfortable as all get out, the size of that one is the lower limit of looking okay on me. An old Fender Bullet that's laying around is a nice size, just not full enough of a tone for me at the moment.
My first bass was the Gibson EB0 and hardly sees any playing time anymore. I love the fit, feel and sound of my current Kubicki Ex Factor. Very comfortable smaller bass though may not be the right look for everyone.
