I'm looking for a decent pedal tuner to complete my pedalboard. Due to the current layout I really need a small one, preferably one that goes widthways (in the zvex style of things). I have considered the Korg PitchBlackl it would fit but i'd have to turn it on it's side and i'd rather not have to. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

well i was gonna say the korg pitchblack, but if you have to turn it on its side I wouldnt want to have to do that with mine either..
but that ibanez looks interesting, or maybe reposition something on the board? i donno, just an idea. pics so we can get an idea of the space you have to work with maybe?

Here's a shot (albeit an awful one) of the board... (Apparently that HM-2 is older than I am 
) I'm thinking of fitting it above where the two distortions are. The space seems to be just too tight for putting a Boss pedal in and even then i'd have to turn it on its side (which of course I'm trying to avoid).
Also the Boss TU-12 seems to be the right size... I just don't think it would be very good on a stage... (probably should have stated that earlier

why don't you move the NS-2 to the side then you'd be able to fit a Pitchblack or Turbo Tuner vertically..
I've seen this thing before, and it appeared quite small. 2.75" W x 3.875" L x 1.5" H, according to the online specs.

Looking at online dimensions I think that the Ibanez LU-20 will fit well in that gap. Does anybody have any experience with one? How does it cope with non-standard tunings (e.g. Eb standard)?
Isn't there enough room to shift everything to the right, and fit the PitchBlack in the upper left corner? It's a pretty small footprint.
Is your compressor an "always on" pedal? You could turn that one sideways at the top and make room for a greater variety of tuners...? Edit: (Oops, it's a supressor, so I guess it is always on).

Yeah it is always on but it also has a mute function. The real problem is with the loop set up around it to suck the noise out of the drive pedals moving it into the corner just isn't practical (there's 4 jacks on the NS-2 all being used).
I know you're looking for a pedal tuner. Any particular reason you don't want a rack tuner? I have two different Korg units and I like them both. A VERY small mute switch can be added to your board to control remote mute of the tuner. Both of my tuners are very visible from pretty far away. Additionally, I can quick tune on the fly if something goes wrong (bumped headstock, etc.). Of course, they handle ALL bass tunings you could possibly want.
I've got nothing against rack equipment; but i don't own any so that would be a bit pointless. Thanks anyway.
