Smallest 1/4" connectors.

My pedalboard is starting to ramp up again, and I'm considering my options in terms of cabling. I've used George L's in the past, and always ran into issues with the ends coming loose (mainly the right angle connectors). I've considered the Lava cables, but after seeing their instructional video I'm still not sold on the solderless connection thing. So I'm considering breaking out the trusty soldering gun of justice and making my own.

Space is an issue, so I'm looking to find the best, smallest 1/4" plugs out there. Any suggestions?

#4 from [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] is the smallest I've found, but the jury is still out concerning quality. I've no experience but I've asked about them here and was not encouraged to get them.

Hosa makes a patch cable with some pancake connectors and they seem smaller than the Switchcrafts. You may be able to dissect them and re-solder the length of cable you need.

Here is a short thread that I started concerning 1/4 plugs.

Honestly the cost difference and acquiring soldering skills is why I shy away from George L's and other solderless kits.

I use Lava cables and.. I was a bit iffy on the solderless too at first, but after i set it up, I must say, Lava cables are very sturdy and reliable, and the connectors are the smallest I've ever come across.

The sleeve design for the Lava cables is genius IMO lol. It really keeps the cable stable and sturdy.

The newer jacks that Munjibunga shows are much nicer to work with. But the "#4" above are just as reliable - at least as reliable as a person's soldering skills.
I personally love those "#4" for cramped conditions.

I have used George L cables with good results. They seem to work well if you tighten them very well.

I have a bunch of switchcraft knockoffs that I decided not to use. If you decide to solder your own, send me a PM. I have about 20 of the rt-angle plugs picured below that I would sell for a good price.
