Smallest amp you’ve been impressed by?

In a rehearsal setup or louder, that could handle a low B and sounded full and punchy.

Depends on how loud you rehearse I guess. I play direct to the house for live performances so I don't usually drag an amp to rehearsals but when I'm jamming with friends (usually in a trio setting) I use an Ampeg BA112. Probably wouldn't be enough live for anything larger than a coffee shop. When I was trying amps at my local shop it was the smallest amp they had that produced what I considered a full tone. With a single speaker, anything smaller than 10" just doesn't seem to do much for me. With a full band or if you use it play live a lot, you'll probably want something with more output though.

I’ve been using the GK MB150S for about 20 years on electric and upright, and it never ceases to amaze me. Small, lightweight (only 26 pounds), loud, and sounds lovely in all registers.

I've had this little Carvin ProBass 150 for almost 30 years. This thing kicks butt! 100 watts into the 10" incorporated speaker, 150 watts if you plug in another 8 ohm speaker. I used to gig with it by bringing along an 18" sub and setting this on top.

Phil Jones Double Four that I use with my bass ukes for rehearsal twice a week with 30 people in our ukulele group and small gigs. It amazes me how much bass sound it outputs.

This little 10W no-name practice amp I randomly picked up at a pawn shop for $30 blew me away. It had all the markings of being a 'comes in a pack!' amp. It had navy blue carpet and a crappy looking grille. Sounded great, handled the low B without a single fart, ate pedals for breakfast and PROJECTED. I used it for an open mic alongside 2 steel string acoustics and an accordion on the first night I got it and it sat perfectly with the volume on 5 without any help from FOH. The sound guy and I were shocked

Ampeg BA108v2. $99 with free shipping to Alaska via Amazon Prime. I've gone through half a dozen practice amps in the last year, and this is the only one that stayed home. It's a little bigger than most of the others, but the tone is pure Ampeg buttery goodness.

I was a hardcore GK fan for years but as of late I'm going back to my roots with Ampeg. This little guy can actually do small coffee house gigs and low volume rehearsals. The tone is gorgeous and very recognizable as Ampeg. It really has added some enthusiasm to my home rehearsing, I love listening to the tone with my Ibanez SR500.

I was incredibly impressed by the little elf 2x8 stack I played around with a little while ago. I thought it sounded amazing. Especially for it size. Running through the elf head

Less than 10kgs, an easy one hand carry and the low B is really good up to a certain point.
I wanted to buy a Phil Jones setup, but both the Cub and the Briefcase were not loud enough for my needs and the 4x5" cab is bigger and weighs more than this setup.

My Carvin BX250 is real nice. 200 watts @ 8 ohms, 250 @ 4 ohms. Never a problem with it.

I don’t play 5-string but my Ampeg BA108 was adequate for band practice with 3 electric guitars and acoustic drums.

Kustom Tube 12A into a no name 1x15 cab. Sublime in rehearsal, don’t think it would have been loud enough to gig.

The cab fell apart years ago and I traded that amp for a nice golf umbrella.
