I have a SN-5 and an SN-8, and on the SN-8, the grip is much looser than the SN-5. Anyone else notice this?

These were a great idea, but have been unhappy with it.
More fustrating than it does good.
Tuning should be quick and easy, not so chaotic.

Try moving it to a different location on the headstock. I had some problems with mine , moved the snark and no more problems. The end of the headstock works great on my P Bass. On my 6 strings it works best in the middle on the bottom of the headstock.

I always use harmonics when tuning with a tuner; it's much more accurate.

It's no lower than a regular 4-string electric bass guitar.
