Snark Tuners?

I love my Snark...and the people who make them. Had one break off at the stem, put it in an envelope with a note telling them that I hoped that they saw the justice in sending me another...I'd only had it about a year...but if they couldn't see their way, I was going to buy another anyway. 10 days later there's a new one in my mailbox with a handwritten note just to say "Hi, Thanks for your honest note. We all hope that you're having a good day"; signed by 5 different Snark employees, I assume! Who wouldn't love that?

I've had my blue Snark tuner for several years now, and it's the only headstock tuner I've had that can track a bass quickly and accurately. I leave it on my bass while playing at gigs, and I don't give a damn what people think. I did put a small piece of blue masking tape over the tiny mic hole, so I could check my tuning in a noisy environment. I swear by it, and I highly recommend them.

Regarding the Snarks...I just replaced the battery in mine (actually my kid's) with an Energizer and it isn't really working. It turns on, but won't actually work. Anyone else have this issue?

Lots of people swear by them. I personally don't find the clip on tuners to work well on bass, or in high volume situations. But I seem to be in the minority around here.

I never had any problems with mine. I've converted to a pedal, which I do prefer for the bass. I leave the Snark on my Jaguar electric now, it seems to work better for that one.
