turns out samson discontinued my monitors. so i either get mine back, buy used ones, or drop a ton of money i dont have on NEW ones and relearn how to mix. guhhh.

That's exactly the point. Make it sound good in mono, then it'll sound great in stereo. Those frequencies still pile up in stereo, they're just not as easy to pick out.
