I used to put the cartridge in only about 90%, so when you press down it hits the system. Then you press down really hard and it sort of jams in and sort of gets stuck. That's the only thing that worked for me

I have a sega genesis, and one of my games won't play on it unless you push the cartridge in a certain spot, I rigged up a rubber band type device for when I want to play sonic the hedghog

I would just blow into my games for like an hour until it worked, and it usually did eventually. Don't you hate it though when you will be trying to get the system to read the catridge for a while, and then someone else comes by thinking they are all amazing and says 'let me do it', and then of course they get lucky and it works.... damn them.
