That way madness lies IMO. 
I never look at the tracker other than to see if my order shipped, and then again on the day it's expected to arrive, so that I can be sure I'll be around to sign for it.

That's really nice for you. I hope you love it when you get it. And play it. A lot.
I would like a "birth year" Fender one day. I've already planted the seed that I'd like such a gift as a 50th bday present (still a few years away, thanks). However, I think since I was conceived in one year and born in the next, I'm going to keep the selection criteria a bit broader to include either a "conception year" bass or a "birth year" bass.
We'll see what happens...

The bad part is I keep checking it over and over on the arrival date even though I know the driver never comes before 6:30

What's worse is when you know it's coming but you have to leave the house to pick the kids up or do an errant. Those minutes away from the house when you know the delivery person could be coming are excruciating.
My Pedal Steel was supposed to arrive on Saturday but FedEx came and went came while I was out at brunch. Then, because it was a home delivery I didn't get it til tuesday afternoon!!!

Whippersnapper! But seriously, that's a sweet ride. I do love the maple fingerboard for a fretless.
