Nice one...that's no Aussie actor....actually it's George Michael.
Hard to tell from this angle. Do you have any other pictures or a video of him playing this? That would make it better than just this picture to determine what bass for sure.
Just this one showing a bit more of George's bass which probably will not help (nice looking bass and a slim neck), and for bonus here is Jimi on bass and Johnny Winter.

My first and only bass teacher sold all of his basses, among them a 62 Jazz, in the mid-80s to buy an active bass with LED fret dots.
Playing an American Vintage Series Jazz with 100% non reflective clay dots, I might try to reach him and buy the one with the LEDs.
Deon continued playing with George. George played the bass track on Freedom (the later one) and this was probably the session he did it on.
