How does Om have nothing to do with the topic? It's just bass and percussion.

+ 1,000. The ultimate bass recording of these pieces. This recording is better than many cello recordings. Every bass player needs to check this out.

OP asked for albums where bass is the only instrument, not albums where bass is prominently featured, or where the bassist is the leader.

Many of the recommendations on this thread are therefore way off base. So far, here are the appropriate recs, I think...leaving off the three OP has listed (and yeah, that Squarepusher Solo bass album is really cool, I think! and I agree with everything we've all said about Manring's Soliloquy....I haven't heard the Lawson recording).
Also, some are upright, some are bass guitar....don't know if that matters...first group I have and can vouch for, second APPEAR to fit the criteria, but I'm not sure...

Also, I'd recommend two albums if you're into upright: Holland/Barre-Music From Two Basses, and Stefano Scodonibbio's "Voyage" (I can't recall the exact title, but that guy can get sounds out of an upright that seem to transcend the laws of physics).
