Congratulations, watched your yotube: excellent playing, but , in my opinion, quite poor tone. Personally I use piezo (50%) and a good MIC (50%) just some inches from the bass hole. And most important: I adapt my playing technique and style to the instrument: your stuff on that video should sound just terrific on an low action electric!!!
I agree with dedelandia: that new LOW CD has some astonnishing unacompanied ac. bass. I checked this guy's (daniel diaz) myspace and it seems that he mantains that page , so I sent an email asking about his axe and recordings technique, cause it's the more specific, specialised stuff on acoustic: those songs couln't work on any other instrument, it seems.. But it's clearly shown on that album: he plays on the acoustic more chordal, slow pieces, and sound amazing. But he uses electric (and fretless) for more atacked fast melodies....
Would lov eto check out Jonas Hellborg's acoustic stuff mentioned above by someone else, taht should be something...
And Steve Swalow plays an sensitive, melodic solo on a track in the duo album by Metheny/Scofield, that again: seems taht he's adpting his vocabulary to the caracteristics of the instrument..
Again: great playing in your video man. Bravo!
