Based on my experience .... the fit and placement of the Rev II is a very big deal. Take your time .... make sure the bridge wing flats really are flat and parallel to each other .... slide it in ... try it out and listen closely .... adjust slot as necessary ...
At first when I fitted it up, I was having to dial out a lot of treble to get rid of twanginess and string noise. After loosening up the fit in the bridge wing a tad more .... all that changed. I run all 3 eq knobs pretty flat with the tweeter off to get the sound I'm looking for ...
The high-pass filter on the Coda is really useful with the Rev II IMO. I usually run with HPF on and set at about 40 to 60 or else the real low-lows can get to rumbling a bit ...
In my limited experience .... if you are having to tweak the eq knobs very drastically one way or the other .... the fit of the Rev II may be in question.
