Lot of experienced players here so who better to ask. I just bought a 75th Anniversary PBsss. And want to try something different with strings. On my other basses I use Daddairo extra light 45/95. There good on the wear of my hands. I've had no problem. Want to try something different. I play country, 70/80 southern rock. A little blues. I play a lot of 4/4 shuffle so I need the G string to not get lost in the mix playing live. That's the one weakness with the Daddairo the D and G string can be thin at times. Need advice but they must be round wound. Thank you...
