Some of my handywork...

My son recieved his Gibson Les Paul over the weekend for his 8th grade graduation gift. My wife was asking if there was anything we could do to "kinda" personalize it just for him. So, not wanting to alter guitar itself any, I did the next best thing. I bought new covers for the back of the guitar. I program and operate CNC machining centers for a living. I wrote a couple quick programs and on my lunch breaks, used a 3/8" carbide multimaster to scribe in his initials and graduation date on the larger cover, and did the Gibson "G" logo on the small round one.

I know this isnt a bass guitar, but I play one and so does my son. So, I hope this is ok. Just so proud of my boy and wanted to show off some of my work. I think it turned out sweet and my son ABSOLUTELY loved it.

Good job Ethan.
