at the end of the day, when I am listening to the records I love, I am not thinking about what someone was wearing or how they styled their hair, I am just listening to the sound. It is interesting to look at how someone presents themselves.....I mean...look at someone like Bruce Springsteen and then look at Miles Davis. It is interesting, but in the long run, it will not hold my attention. I just want to hear music.

When I listen to an album I don't care, when I see someone playing I really don't care. But, non musicians care. And thats the truth. For rock and roll ten fold. When they go to a rock concert they want the groupies, roadies, alcohol, long hair, leather, and that guy who walks on stage and does the mic check. Nobody wants to go to a punk concert and see a bunch of rich lawyers.

I think how you present yourself is much more important. If you talk to everyone and sign autographs but ignore one fan your an ******* to everyone.

I never understood why N'BackstreetSync ever sold so many albums. You don't get to HEAR how ATTRACTIVE they apparently are when you listen to them. Watch the music videos, but don't buy the CDs. I know a kid who bought Pink's Misundastood... he doesn't like it at all. But if pink ever comes around, he claims it will be his ticket to sex. :confused:

Kids under 16 aside - is anyone's CD buying actually affected by the attractiveness of the performers?

Actually, having said which, my old housemate - on more than one occasion - bought singles he hadn't heard because the girls were 'fit' :eek:

thats because, believe it or not, some people actually liked the music. Its catchy and gets stuck in your head (for better or worse)





as for my opinion on the situation. As long as your music is good, the image can be whatever you want it to be. I dress for success when i'm playing in front of people, and i wouldnt have it any other way.

What about Tenacious D - I see them (Tribute video) almost every day on MTV and they have no image whatsover - they are just fat, balding middle-aged guys!!
