“Sometimes Im sorry I picked up a Dingwall”
Just think of how you made so many of us glad we haven’t picked one up (yet).
I don’t know any bassists or other musician who hasn’t abandoned their old instrument after getting a new one. I also don’t know many of them who haven’t gravitated back to the old one eventually. Those that sold their old #1, 2, or 3 often regretted it later.
What I don’t quite understand is buying a Dingwall, liking it, and then buying a half dozen more Dingwalls. Does the first one and each subsequent bass begin getting ignored with the purchase of each new one, or is each successive new Dingwall drastically different from the previous one? Is it just rebuilding a variety of different tone multi-scale basses like you previously had with single-scale basses or does the first Dingwall trigger a compulsion to buy multiple identical basses?
I’m just trying to prepare for the worst (best?) if I decide to try one out…
