Song/lick identification

That may be the first time I've actually heard a Ritter rather than just drooling over the looks. Still drooling. (No clue about the riff.)

Humm, I'm not really hearing it, but then again I'm notoriously bad at getting things by ear alone...

The tone sounds like fretless.
Yeah, it's a lined fretless. Do you mean it sounds like just any fretless? To my ears it sounds particularly good, but maybe it's just me.
 
It's a crapshoot to assess bass tone over a SmartPhone or desktop computer speakers, but Ritter is one of the few builders that makes their own electronics, as amazing as the rest of the axe.
