Song Uno: From here to Eternity

Did you all know there were revised Song Uno Rules done many threads and many years ago.

I do not know who revised them; but, here they are.

This one rule was slightly modified along the way a few years back in that "A" and "Or" were included; however, "If" and "Of" were allowed as playable.

I found a copy of the revised rules as follows:

This was a revised list of the Song Uno rules. Notice there was no rule #4 on this list either.

Song Uno Rules:

1. Using the previous song title, post another song title using one or more words from that title.

2. Include the name of the artist or band.

3. If by chance 2 people post different titles at the same time, the earliest title continues the game.

5. No playing off your own title (only post one song at a time).

* Steer clear of using words like, THE, A, AND, OR as the main word being played. Although they can be used as bonus words they shouldn't be used as the main word played.

* For clarity purposes, write the word being played in bold .

And try not to post the same song more than once, or at least not on the same page.

I found that I had copied and pasted those revised rules back in 2015 and saved them to a Word document just for my own purpose. Sorry, I don't know where and when they were changed or who changed them and I don't have a link. When you think about, it "A" and "Or" should have been on the original rules.

The Russian Judge says, "I searched this thread and a few previous and couldn't find that string of words or revised rules. Not that they don't exist, I just couldn't find them. Maybe it's time to simply eliminate that rule? It seems to be a bit arbitrary and restrictive.

I agree. When the whole Russian Judge thing was started, it was a joke because of making people adhere to the rules. Also, nobody seemed to know why there was never a Rule #4 or was there a Rule #4 and it was removed. :woot:

The Russian Judge says, "I hereby consider the rule restricting the use a few words as main play words to be null and void."

Here is the latest copy of the (revised) rules. No, I don't have a link, but I copied them into a text file for future reference.

1. Using the previous song title, post another song title using one or more words from that title. Words used can be part of a previous word, but it must be a word by itself.

2. Include the name of the artist or band.

3. If by chance 2 people post different titles at the same time, the earliest title continues the game.

4. No playing off your own title (only post one song at a time).

Have fun!
